RENAULT GROUP'S FINANCE COMPANY CHOOSES T-SYSTEMS AS CLOUD SOLUTION PROVIDER

Carla Escolà Costa,

RCI Bank and Services, a RENAULT Group company and financier of the Renault, Nissan, Infinity and Dacia brands, has chosen T-Systems, Deutsche Telekom's digital services subsidiary, as one of its technology partners for the deployment and transformation of its applications to Cloud environments, one of the main pillars of the RENAULT Group subsidiary's Digital Transformation strategy.

T-Systems will carry out a pilot test over the next two months and will develop, in collaboration with Red Hat and Amazon Web Services (AWS), a new application in Open Shift environment with Red Hat licenses within the AWS Cloud. This step prior to the start of the Cloud deployment is aimed at ensuring an adequate assessment and parameterization of the Cloud infrastructure best suited to the company's needs. In this way, T-Systems positions itself as a good candidate partner of RCI for the migration of applications to the Cloud in 2021.

During the pilot project, T-Systems will be responsible for the installation, start-ups, administration and management of both the platform and the cloud infrastructure in order to make the pilot project a success and define the roadmap for one of the company's cloud deployment initiatives. In addition, T-Systems will also provide RENAULT Group with the support and advice of Cloud architects and consultants to accompany the company in the process of implementing the new application in test environments, as well as in development and production start-up.

RCI - Renault's decision is based on the fact that T-Systems and its partners have demonstrated their understanding of RCI's strategy, aimed at transforming its applications and moving to the Cloud in the coming years, as well as on the development of this pilot test to test the Cloud environments and study their suitability as a platform to migrate existing applications and develop new ones in the future.

RCI - Renault, has recognized with this decision the efforts of the digital services subsidiary of the Deutsche Telekom group that has designed the architecture of the solution and has worked in the management of the project with its partners Red Hat and AWS to achieve the best result. A decision that reinforces the role of T-Systems as a leading Cloud provider in our country, after the recent recognition of Penteo, Whitelane and Quint in 2020.
