THE 22@NETWORK BCN MEETS JANET SANZ

Last Friday October 14 the President of 22@Network, Enric Urreta, accompanied by the Vice President, Miguel Trias , and the presidents of the innovation commissions and RSC, Antoni Paz and Natalia Valenzuela, met with Janet Sanz, Second Lieutenant of the Mayor's Office and Councilor for Ecology, Urbanism, Infrastructures and Mobility for En Comuacute; We can at the Barcelona City Council.

With this meeting, the association sought to transfer to the town hall the idea of a 22@ that works for a diverse ecosystem, which not only gravitates towards the summer real estate or urban planning, but which comprehensively encompasses the reality of the district and which works to generate a positive impact there. With this objective, the meeting was focused on finding points in comú for the future of the district where the urban debate is placed in the background to move proposals on specific projects, especially ideas that from the 22@Network BCN are considered relevant in terms of innovation. and that above all, they allow sharing with the administration the vision of the future of the 22@.

The matters discussed mainly revolved around the impact of innovation; and the strategies of Corporate Social Responsibility, matters related to the present commissions led by Antoni Paz and Natàlia Valenzuela, although proposals for urban planning, sustainability and social commitment also were put on the table.

Some of the issues discussed, in addition, led to the achievement of compromises between the town hall and the association which will have to be worked on during the next few months. Together, the established agreements pursue the identification of of shortcomings, both in the city and in the district, and the consolidation of the 22@ as an innovation district, but advancing towards a future of the 22@ closely committed to the social and environmental reality of the district.

The members of the Board of Directors, President Urreta and vice president Trias, were very satisfied with the meeting, which they consider allows the association to 22@Network BCN establish stronger and closer links with Barcelona City Council and build a relationship of greater trust and cooperation; among all the actors involved in the 22@ project.
