We were pleased to welcome an international delegation to 22@ Barcelona, organised by our member Centre Euro Africa, with the aim of exploring Barcelona's innovation ecosystem and fostering new opportunities for collaboration between Europe and Africa.

The visit began with a presentation by Isabel Sabadí, Director of 22@Network Barcelona, who introduced the history and transformation of the 22@ Innovation District, as well as the role of the association in connecting companies, universities, research centres and public institutions to drive innovation and economic development.

The delegation then visited Ca l'Alier, one of the district's flagship innovation spaces. Once a former industrial factory, Ca l'Alier has been transformed into an innovation hub where public institutions, companies, startups and research organisations collaborate on projects related to smart cities, urban innovation and digital transformation.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences and showcase how collaboration between different stakeholders contributes to building a more innovative, sustainable and internationally connected ecosystem.
