The month of March has also been tinged with lilac in the 22@Network BCN Association. The association has proposed several events organized by the Women in Value commission, a commission chaired by Susana Prado, the general director of INETUM Catalonia. This committee, together with the Innovation-Industry 4.0 committee, chaired by Antoni Paz, general director of the Knowledge Innovation Market (KIM) Foundation, organized today a seminar on new space economy with four women speakers.

Mireia Colina (Space Business Developer at GTD and Local Group Leader at Women in Aerospace - WIA), Vanesa Ramos (Coordinator of Strategic Projects - director KIM Madrid), Veronica Tercero (Coordinator of the NewSpace Strategy of the Generalitat de Catalunya) and Estel Cardellach (Researcher at IEEC and the Institute of Space Sciences ICE - CSIC) were the speakers of this event that have given a woman's voice to one of the most disruptive sectors of our innovative ecosystem today.

Veronica Tercero announced during the event that next Saturday, at 07:07 in the morning, the Generalitat de Catalunya will make a launch aimed at the research of the Internet of Things and they have planned 5 more launches over the next three years. Even so, he pointed out that the bet of the Generalitat is that the aerospace economy is a useful tool in our daily life and provides intelligence for territorial and climate management. For them the empowerment of women and the visibility of these in the space economy is a central axis of its policies.

For their part, Cardellach, Colina and Ramos explained the projects they are developing for their respective companies. They also explained how they came from their initial training to develop professionally in the new space economy, which is still a deeply asculinized field.

In the debate, the speakers stressed that the strategic commitment to the aerospace economy is key to developing innovation, competitiveness and economic recovery.

Susana Prado remarked that the aim of the Women in Value Committee of the 22@Network BCN Association is to empower women and make them visible in the innovative economy sector.
