THE COMMISSION FOR INNOVATION AND INDUSTRY 4.0. MEET AT THE NEW TIC INSTITUTE OF BARCELONA

Last Thursday, June 6, the innovation and industry commission of the 22@Network Barcelona Association, chaired by Antoni Paz, Director of KIM BCN, met in the new space of our partners at the TIC Barcelona Institute, installed lat in the MdiaTic building to discuss the levels of innovation globally compared to the 22@ district.

Firstly, Martín Martín, Director of the center explained what the institute offers for professionals and companies in the ICT sector.

Anna Majo, Director of Strategic Sectors and Innovation at Barcelona Activa and Pedro Picieni, Data & Analytics manager at Macrotest, were the speakers of this commission.

Anna Majo gave a presentation starting with the comparison of Barcelona and innovation in the international context, then explained how and what open innovation is: current context of the city and the 22@. He then explained the work of Barcelona Activa and the commitment to innovation and development and finally, he presented the CONNECTIO project, Barcelona Activa's open innovation business platform in which the 22@Network Barcelona association also collaborates along with others.

Pedro Picieni from the Macrotest team, explained their goal: to democratize data analysis through an app developed by them and the benefits that this entails for SMEs, since it helps them to innovate and learn new ways to do it.

To finish, a networking coffee was held with all the attendees to resolve doubts about the two platforms presented.
