On October 8, at the space of our partners at LCI Barcelona, we will celebrate the first day of the ARTFutur project: Rethinking Digital Culture, a project promoted by the Design, Creativity and Culture Commission of 22@Network Barcelona and FAD – Foment de les Arts i del Disseny, in collaboration with various creative, academic and technological entities in the 22@ district. The initiative proposes a space for critical reflection on how emerging technologies —such as artificial intelligence, immersive reality or blockchain— are transforming art and culture, redefining concepts such as authorship, property or artistic experience.

This event is part of BCN Design Week and represents a unique opportunity to connect with pioneering projects and key agents in the digital creative sector. The theme will be: Digital art and creative artificial intelligence.

With the aim of promoting digital creativity in Catalonia, and with the support of the Directorate of Innovation and Digital Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, this event aims to contribute to the growth and consolidation of the different creative sectors, as well as to promote their knowledge and recognition by the public. It is presented as a meeting point for the creative community, encouraging transdisciplinary collaborations and exploring new forms of interaction with art and digital culture.

• 15:45h – Debate: Digital art and creative artificial intelligence Participants:
  • Pau Alsina (moderator) – UOC professor and expert in art and new media. He will situate the evolution of AI in art within a philosophical and cultural framework, connecting it with the major currents of thought and innovation.
  • Lluis Nacenta – Musician, theorist and curator. He will offer a critical vision on the relationship between technology and creativity, analyzing the limits and possibilities of AI in artistic expression.
  • Alba G. Corral – Visual artist and digital creator specializing in generative art and real-time visuals. She will share her experience with creative programming and how AI and algorithms will expand visual narratives in digital art.
