THE MOST AWAITED DAY OF THE YEAR FOR THE 22@ ECOSYSTEM IS HERE!

22@ INNOVATION DAY 

The big day for the 22@ district is coming on June 12th – a day full of innovation, talent, entrepreneurship, and new technological trends. We present to you the 22@ INNOVATION DAY, a very special edition divided into three main parts. First, there will be sustainability and innovation tours throughout the morning starting at 10:00 am, where participants will get first-hand knowledge of the latest advancements and projects in the district’s technological world.

Secondly, at 4:00 pm, the RBA Auditorium will host the general assembly of members, where you can register via this link.

Thirdly, at 5:00 pm, in the same RBA auditorium, we will start the Business Convention, led by our president, Susana Prado, the Hon. Mr. Jaume Collboni, Mayor of the City of Barcelona and the Hon. Mr. Jordi García, General Director of Industrial Strategy and Small and Medium Enterprises at the Ministry of Industry and Tourism

During the event, the Barcelona Innovation Awards will be presented by the Hon. Jaume Collboni, Mayor of the City of Barcelona. These awards aim to celebrate and recognize the most significant advances in key areas for societal progress and well-being:

• Disruptive Innovation Award

• Innovation in Sustainability Award

• Social or Impact Innovation Award

• 22@ Barcelona District Innovation Award

In addition, we will have the opportunity to discover the Innovation Showcase, a live demonstration space showcasing solutions and projects developed by organizations established in the district, where our members will present their cutting-edge projects. We will be joined by companies such as Lavinia AI, Aigües de Barcelona, Impact Hub Barcelona, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, 42 Barcelona - Fundación Telefónica, Teamlabs, Vaivé Logistics, and Ideal - Layers of Reality.

This year, we are debuting the “Made in 22@” space, an exhibition that highlights the most innovative projects in the district. Through graphic materials and prototype displays, attendees will get a taste of the innovative projects created in 22@ and connect directly with their creators in the networking space.

The exhibition will include informative panels featuring a selection of projects driven by members of the 22@ Network Barcelona. Each panel visually and succinctly describes a real initiative that reflects the dynamism of our environment. Participating in this section are: UPF, Cuatrecasas, UOC, Fundació Carulla, Social Hub, Cosymbio, Quilimanjaro, FADMaterfad, and SeatCODE.

You will also be able to explore an area featuring 4 interactive physical exhibition projects, inviting you to experience and test technological innovations and prototypes with real impact. This showcase features: Capgemini with "WindSight IQ™", a revolutionary and innovative technology that was incorporated into the broadcast of the 37th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup, allowing real-time visualization of wind patterns; Inetum presenting the new virtual agent of the 22@ Network Barcelona association; Eurecat with SIT2STAND, a fall risk detection system for elderly people when standing up; and Universal Robots with the Cobot UR5e, a collaborative robot (cobot) ideal for precision tasks such as assembly, material handling, and quality inspection.

The 22@ Innovation Day Business Convention represents the major annual event of the 22@Network Barcelona and the district. It is an opportunity to showcase the power of the district, its organizations, and the dynamics that make it the advanced production fabric of Catalonia.
