FOCUS GROUP OPENS SEASON 2019/20

The Goya Theater has been the stage of presentation of the 33rd season of the Focus Group, in an act directed by Daniel Anglès and conducted by Ana Boadas. A total of 43 shows starring more than 350 leading artists of the national scene, will take the stages of the Romea Theater, the Goya Theater, La Villarroel and the Condal Theater during the next months.

The event was attended by Daniel Martínez de Obregón, president of the Focus Group, and the participation of the director of the Romea Foundation for the Performing Arts, Fèlix Riera, as well as that of the artistic directors of the group's respective theaters: José Maria Pou (Teatro Romea), Tania Brenlle (la Villarroel) and Daniel Inglés (Teatro Condal), and Jordi González vice president of Art and Content of the Focus Group, who has presented the programming of the Goya Theater.

As the president of the Focus Group explained, the 2019-2020 season "will gravitate around the central axes of our proven theater practice in production and exhibition." He has also taken the opportunity to announce three expansive lines in the scenic activity: the growth of the ONYRIC project; the creation of a new production unit in Madrid, and the development of Focus-Experience, a project about new show formats. The Focus Group will allocate a budget of 13.7 million euros to the stage activity of its 33rd theatrical season, which will include twelve new productions and six co-productions, the participation of 24 active companies, 356 contracted artists, 390 planned touring performances. In addition, seven Focus productions will make season in Madrid.
