Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from the Korean Standards Association (KSA) to 22@Network Barcelona, on the occasion of the Smart City Expo World Congress taking place this week in Barcelona.

Founded in 1962, the KSA is a global leader in standards and quality services, advancing standardization, quality management, technical development, and professional training for over 60 years. Throughout its history, the organization has made a remarkable contribution to the growth and innovation of industries and the nation.

The visiting group brought together representatives from various organizations united by a shared interest in smart city innovation and urban transformation. Following extensive research, the KSA identified 22@ Barcelona as a benchmark project for creating an innovation district that seamlessly integrates technology, research, and urban planning.

During the visit, we shared insights into 22@’s strategies for fostering collaboration, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, values that deeply resonate with KSA’s own mission. Our discussions focused on urban transformation, innovation ecosystems, and smart city best practices, highlighting Barcelona’s success as a living lab for global innovation.

We are honored by the interest and enthusiasm shown by the KSA delegation and look forward to continuing this international dialogue, promoting collaboration between Korea and Barcelona in the pursuit of smarter, more sustainable cities.
